Afshan Malik is a Chicago native turned southern belle who loves Dr. Pepper, new projects, and historical novels. Afshan works as the Director of Development at Rabata, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive cultural change through Muslim women's education, tarbiya, and community. She has a Masters in nonprofit management, a Bachelors in English Language and Literature, and additional Islamic Studies and professional certifications through the Ribaat Academic Institute, the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and more.
